Music in the Glen brings out the crowds

Although there was some room to dance, it was standing-room only at Music in the Glen on Thursday, July 28.
The annual five-week free summer concert series has been stretched to six weeks this year due to rain on July 21.
The Hitmen played on July 28. They will be followed on Aug. 4 by Willow Glen favorite Joe Scharino and Aug. 11 by Sage. All concerts are held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on the grass playground behind Willow Glen Elementary School.

Who ever said watching television turns people into couch potatoes has never seen Joan Hall and her friends in action.
Hall and Dale Olstinske, along with five other couples, decided last year to create their own version of the Food Network’s popular “Iron Chef” cooking show.
