3500 Block of Ross Avenue
Possible attempted suicide
A 17-year-old female was involved in an argument with her boyfriend, when she ran up the exterior stairs of a medical building. While on the third floor balcony, she either jumped or accidentally fell to the ground, suffering minor injuries.

Automobile versus Pedestrian
Curtner and Cottle avenues
Officers responded to a collision involving an automobile and pedestrian. The 16-year-old female (party #1) was stepping off the curb into the roadway as she danced at the corner. While in the roadway, vehicle #1 was eastbound on Curtner Avenue approaching Cottle Avenue in lane #2. The right front of her vehicle struck the pedestrian sending her airborne across the intersection. She was transported to VMC emergency room with injuries to her leg and hip.

Strong Arm Robbery/Purse Snatching
Camino Ricardo/Willow Street
A 51-year-old female had her purse taken by a teenage male. The male fled on foot. The suspect has not been identified or apprehended.

Residential Burglaries
1505 De Rose Way/Plum Orchard Apartments
A burglary and attempted burglary occurred at the above locations. There have been eight similar burglaries at this location since March. The burglary unit detectives also responded. There are no suspects at this time.

Strong Arm Robbery
2600 Block of New Jersey Avenue
Three juvenile suspects at Ida Price Middle School approached the 14-year-old victim. The primary suspect asked the victim for money, then grabbed a $20 dollar bill out of her hand and fled. Officers located the suspect two hours later and arrested him.

Burglary
Canoas Elementary, 880 Wren Drive
Officers responded to a silent burglary alarm. They found two juveniles hiding inside one of the classrooms. The suspects had entered the school and boxed up several computers prior to the police arriving. The suspects were apprehended before they could make off with the computers.

False Imprisonment/Auto Theft
3100 Rubino Drive
The 18-year-old male victim recently moved to the area from Idaho and was befriended by the suspects. Last night he was kept against his will and not allowed to leave the suspects’ apartment. Today he was dropped off at an address in District Yellow and the suspects took the victim’s truck. The suspects and the truck are still outstanding.

Disturbance
Oster Elementary School, 1855 Lencar Way
Officers responded to Oster Elementary at 1855 Lencar Way. It was learned that a 10-year-old male found a container of pepper spray. He sprayed it in an occupied classroom. Fire and paramedics responded to treat the few children affected by the spray and check the others present in the classroom.

Felony Warrant
Foxworthy/Cherry
The MERGE Surveillance Team Assisted Family Violence with locating and arresting Shawn Bautista, born 7/13/68. The suspect had a $1 million dollar felony warrant for his arrest stemming from a domestic violence assault. The suspect was also a parolee at large with a violent criminal history, including arrests for resisting arrest. MERGE located the suspect and took him into custody without incident.

Unlawful Weapon
700 block of Gregory Street
Officers responded to a report of a suspicious person in a vehicle. Upon contacting him, officers observed a hand grenade in plain view in the suspect’s vehicle. The suspect also had other illegal weapons in his possession. The bomb squad was called and responded to the scene. They determined the grenade to be inert and took possession of it. The suspect was booked.

Armed Robbery/Kidnapping
3200 block of Irlanda Way
The female victim gave a ride to three suspects and arrived at a friend’s house. The suspect produced a weapon that appeared to be a gun wrapped in a bandana. The suspect robbed the victim and two male occupants of the house of personal property. The suspect drove away forcing the female victim to come with them. She was able to escape three blocks away. The suspect fled the scene, leaving the vehicle.

Battery with Serious Injury
2000 block of Beatrice Court
A male suspect assault and battered a female party. The victim sustained injuries to the arm and shoulder area. The suspect was arrested and booked into jail.
