Beall serves up another successful breakfast
 |
| The 2006 firefighter recruits take time out to enjoy the pancakes. |
On Saturday, May 13, a crowd of nearly 80 friends and neighbors joined Supervisor Jim Beall for a lively and free pancake breakfast at the Camden Community Center. The Santa Clara County Firefighters did a wonderful job serving up mountains of tasty pancakes and attendees also enjoyed coffee from Peet's, orange juice and fruit.
The breakfast provided an informal setting for District 4 constituents to discuss concerns with Beall over breakfast. Local elected officials in attendance included San Jose City Councilmembers Judy Chirco, Linda LeZotte and Ken Yeager, Larry Wilson of the Santa Clara Valley Water District and Virginia Holz of the Open Space Authority. Also present were Murrie Zlotziever, Denise Marchu and Lisa Traxler, members of the Santa Clara County Foster Parent Association and Sacred Heart Community Service representatives Poncho and Xiomara Guevara. Michael LaRocca was there from the Sherman Oaks Neighborhood Association as was Michele Lewe, executive director of ACCI.
Jim's wife Pat Beall, son Greg and his mother Katherine, were also on hand to meet and greet old and new friends. |
