Jim Beall holds pancake breakfast

Jim Beall hosted a pancake breakfast April 9 attended by about 150 people who had the opportunity to speak with the Santa Clara county supervisor from District 4 about what’s going on in the county and discuss concerns that could turn into potential issues.

While most of the people were constituents, a number of area politicians also came and talked with those attending.

Among them were several city council members including Judy Chirco, Linda LaZotte and Ken Yeager from San Jose, Jeannette Watson from Campbell and MTC Commissioner and former Santa Clara City Councilmember John MacLemore. Forrest Williams, Nancy Pyle, Joe Simitian and Rebecca Cohn all sent representatives.

Hungry people were hanging out before the 8 a.m. starting time, but things really got crowded when the politicians showed up. And lots of people remained to chat with each other and with Beall after the meeting ended at 10 a.m.

Jim Beall, right, poses with Sig Yoder, who has lived in Willow Glen for 45 years, and JoAnne and Fred Grometer, who are 45-year residents of Cambrian Park. Incidentally, Fred Grometer retired from IBM, where he worked for 35 years.
